Volunteer
If you are interested in helping out with the Colorado Cave Rescue Network (CCRN), the first step is to become educated in cave rescue techniques. This can be done through attending a cave rescue seminar. Once you have learned the basic skills of cave rescue, there are several ways you can help:
- Add your contact information to the CCRN call-out card. Volunteers on this card may be called in the event of a rescue.
- Take additional training beyond what is offered by the CCRN. Extensive training is offered at the national level by the National Cave Rescue Commission(NCRC).
- Help out at a CCRN Seminar. Volunteers are needed to assist in organization, registration, preparing materials, set-up and tear-down, as well as providing instruction.
- Update the contents of rescue caches.
- Help maintain rescue gear.
Please contact us if you are interested in one of these volunteer opportunities.
Financial donations are also welcome to maintain current equipment and purchase additional gear. Please contact us for details.
