Colorado Cave Rescue Network

Class Schedule

The basic cave rescue seminar is designed to familiarize cavers and rescue personnel with the basic aspects of cave rescue. The Saturday session will consist of a mix of lectures, multimedia presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on practice. Topics include (but are not limited to) an introduction to the cave environment, patient evaluation and first aid, rescue management, communications and patient packaging. Saturday afternoon will include a practice patient evacuation through outdoor obstacle courses - be sure to wear appropriate clothing!

On Sunday, your newly-acquired skills will be put to the test. A mock rescue will be held in William's Canyon - plan on a full day underground, filled with mental and physical challenges!
